Are you struggling with sleep deprivation or unsustainable sleep habits?

Right now you might be..

  • Spending hours rocking or bouncing your baby to sleep each night, only to have them wake up as soon as you put them in the cot.

  • Feeling like you’ve tried everything to get your little one to take longer naps and you’re not sure why they continue to wake after 30 minutes.

  • Lost because Co-sleeping isn’t working for your family anymore but you don’t know where to start to transition baby into their own sleep space.

  • feeding your little one every 2 hours overnight because it is the only way they will go back to sleep

  • Feeling like you've lost yourself because you haven’t had a night off or a night away from your baby since giving birth because they won’t go to sleep with anyone else

Babies are born with the drive to sleep but more often than not we have to show them how.

Imagine you could..

  • Teach your little one to fall asleep completely independently when you put them in the cot (yes every baby is capable of this!)

  • Extend those short naps giving your baby the rest they need and you the break you deserve!

  • Understand the science behind why your baby wakes every 2 hours and how to teach them to sleep through the night without cry-it-out.

  • Transition your baby or toddler from your bed to their own!

  • Go on a date night, attend that wedding or go to the cinema with your girlfriends knowing your babysitter can easily put your little one to bed without you!

FAQ

  • Laura, will there be tears?

Although we are offering lots of support during this process your baby may respond to the change by communicating to you that they aren't quite sure what this new thing is that you and them are trying. Crying is not something we are completely trying to avoid when we go through this process. We want our babies to communicate with us. They will tell us through crying that yes, something is changing and yes I'm a bit confused about it because we have always done it this other way, but I know I'm loved and I know I'm safe. With my sleep shaping & sleep coaching methods in all of my courses, you will be showing your baby that it is ok to fall asleep without rocking, feeding, cuddling, bouncing, driving or whatever other unsustainable 'ing' you have been doing day in and day out for the last few months. You are guiding them through these changes in the context of a secure relationship and loving environment. The tears come from us changing the behaviour that isn't working for your family right now, but you are right there with them to show them that this new way is perfectly ok and empowering them with the gift of independent sleep.

  • Do I have to teach my child to fall asleep independently?

Absolutely not - you don’t have to change a thing if what you’re doing right now is working for you. But if you’re like thousands of families all over the world and you are struggling with the inevitable toll that sleep deprivation takes, you can make a change. If rocking, feeding to sleep, patting, shushing & bed-sharing have become unsustainable and are not bringing you joy anymore, you don’t have to continue to go it alone. Healthy & restorative independent sleep, is a gift you can give your child which they will carry into toddlerhood, childhood and throughout the years where sleep is most vital for healthy growth, learning & development. Getting great sleep not only benefits your child, but more importantly can be life-changing for you. Parenthood is utterly exhausting let alone with the added weight of months of sleep deprivation. Yet for some reason we continue to put ourselves through the angst of bedtime battles and hourly night wakings and feel guilty for wanting things to be different. With a better night’s sleep for you and your family, you can be energised, patient and able to show up consistently & empathetically for your child when they need you most. You will feel vast improvements in your mental health, allowing you to be more emotionally available to your child, your partner and yourself. You deserve happiness, time and energy to be the best version of yourself.

  • What happens if I run into troubles after I finish the course?

Sleep is not linear. Your little one experiences so many physical changes and cognitive milestones in their first few years of life which all have an impact on how they experience the world. Sometimes these changes will impact their sleep and you may feel like everything is going backwards. This is totally normal and all part of the process! Remember, we are not creating a robot - we are dealing with a little human! However during the course I will give you an in-depth understanding of setting up and maintaining great sleep foundations for you and your child. If you do feel like you need further support any time in the future, you can always add this on. And if you have recommended Halcyon Sleep to a friend, you can take advantage of my 15% off referral discount which can be used on any additional sleep support.

  • Can I complete this course if my child is not in a cot?

Yes! This course has been designed to help you transition from bed-sharing or co-sleeping to the toddler bed or cot. I recommend keeping your child in their cot until at least 2.5-3 years old. If you want to make the transition after teaching independent sleep I have a specific e-guide called 'Transitioning to a toddler bed' available at www.halcyonsleep.uk
